“Orange Is The New Black” Star Yael Stone: I Filmed First Sex Scene Before I Had Sex
The ladies of Orange Is the New Black are no strangers to sex scenes, and for Yael Stone, who plays the lovable Lorna Morello, onscreen sex came before she had sex in real life.
In a recent interview, Yael shared, for the first time ever, that she filmed a sex scene at 15, well before she had actually had sex.
“I’ve never said this, but I did my first sex scene before I’d actually had sex in real life,” she said.
Speaking of sex scenes, Yael said of filming intimate moments on Orange: “The sex scenes are also a privilege, and we have to see it that way. If it’s written by great people — these people that write the show are really smart, we can trust them — I do feel like those scenes are really necessary. It’s a big part of [prison] life. It’s a big part of our lives as human beings.”
