Jersey Shore’s Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino and Wife Lauren Have ‘First Date Night’ Post-Prison

So cute! Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino shared a photo from a first night out with his wife, Lauren, after his release from prison on September 12. “First date night out with my wife,” the Jersey Shore star captioned a photo of the two of them. In it, Mike, 37, held a large slab of meat, and the duo appeared to be at a restaurant specializing in butchery.

Lauren, 34, actually commented on the picture herself — presumably after the couple’s date night was over! “Dream date night with my dream husband,” she wrote. “I love you.” Plus, some of Mike’s Jersey Shore castmates replied, too. Vinny Guadagnino, for instance, wrote, “That s–t looks like heaven.” And Snooki simply dropped some fire emoji to show her approval.

“The Situation” served an 8-month prison sentence for tax evasion at Otisville Federal Correctional Institution in New York. Upon his release, a rep for Mike’s wife told In Touch, “We are elated to finally close this chapter of our life. Thank you to our family, friends and fans for the continuous love and support during this time. It brought us so much peace and comfort. We look forward to continuing our life as husband and wife and working on baby situations! We truly believe that the comeback is ALWAYS greater than the setback, and we can’t wait to show the world ours.”

Mike later spoke out for the first time since he left prison and told Entertainment Tonight, “Oh my God, to be a free man, to be honest with you, it’s awesome,” he said. “It’s fantastic. I have my beautiful wife next to me. I’m healthy, I’m sober, back at work with my best friends on the No. 1 show on MTV and just living the dream.” He added, “I definitely feel like I’m a changed man.”

Lauren is clearly thrilled to have her husband back, and when he shared a steamy Instagram photo on Wednesday, September 25, she made sure to let him know how much she appreciated it. “Sexy husband,” she wrote, followed by a fun #hearteyes emoji. Can these two get any cuter? We hope they’re loving being back together and have many more date nights to come!
