Time to celebrate! Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino wined and dined his wife, Lauren Sorrentino, as they celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary on Friday, November 1. The couple was all smiles and seemed to be happy to be able to spend their first anniversary together after Mike’s release from prison in September.

Mike, 37, took to Instagram to commemorate their special day by sharing a throwback photo from their lavish wedding, while writing the sweetest tribute to his wife. “Best day of my Life !! The day I married my best friend, soulmate [and] college sweetheart. Here’s to our [one] year anniversary [and] many more, my queen,” the MTV star wrote, adding a bride emoji and a red heart emoji.

Not to be outdone, Lauren also took to Instagram to gush over her hubby in a sweet tribute. “Happy anniversary my love! Thank you for being such an incredibly loving and supportive husband, you are the rock of our family, my best friend [and] soulmate. I couldn’t do this life without you. I love you forever!” the 34-year-old captioned a throwback photo from their wedding, adding a black heart emoji.

Later that day, Mike took his lady love out for a romantic dinner at a local NJ eatery, The Butcher’s Block. They both took to Instagram to share the same photo of themselves smiling wide for the camera as they sat at their table together with their desserts. “Our anniversary dinner,” Lauren captioned the photo, adding the smiling face with hearts emoji and the spaghetti emoji. “Living my blessed life,” Mike wrote in his caption, adding the ice cream and coffee emojis.

The couple seemed to pick right back up where they left off, as they spent eight months out of their first year of marriage apart. Mike and Lauren tied the knot on November 1, 2018 and they were able to spend their first Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve together. But on January 15, Mike reported to federal prison where he served an 8-month prison sentence for tax fraud. Mike was released on September 12.

“We are elated to finally close this chapter of our life. Thank you to our family, friends and fans for the continuous love and support during this time,” a rep for Lauren told In Touch at the time. “It brought us so much peace and comfort. We look forward to continuing our life as husband and wife and working on baby situations! We truly believe that the comeback is ALWAYS greater than the setback, and we can’t wait to show the world ours.”
