Reporting for duty! Literally. Megyn Kelly made an appearance at the Manhattan Supreme Court on Friday, January 18, to perform a civic duty. According to Mega, the ex-NBC host had a purse full of reading materials and two crossword puzzle books to pass the time. Keep scrolling to see pics of her looking less than thrilled.
“About to begin jury duty this morning,” the 48-year-old tweeted on Thursday, January 17. “Slightly concerned about the effectiveness of the ‘I’m far too busy’ excuse this time.”

Megyn finalized her departure from the network on Jan. 11, less than three months after her show was canceled due to her controversial remarks about blackface.

You Good, Meg?
The blonde beauty looked annoyed while heading to the courthouse, not that jury duty is exactly a thrilling activity. And while it’s safe to say the mother-of-three has seen better days, we don’t exactly feel sorry for her. After all, she received a cool $69 million in her settlement.

“Megyn may have gotten a sweet exit from NBC [with] her $69 million contract intact, but she still has no firm job offer. She says we’ll be seeing her back on TV shortly, but her options are very limited,” an insider told Closer earlier this week. “Everyone is excited and wants to know what her plan is, she’s definitely working on something, but it’s still a mystery.”

Her “Dismal Year”
The source concluded, “Megyn would love to turn back time and have everyone forget the last year she had. Her arrival at NBC, the blackface comment, clashing with Matt Lauer and her other colleagues. It was a year of highs and many lows, but mainly one that she would like to forget. The problem is that no one, especially network executives, can forget her dismal year and the baggage she brought with her.”
Welp, at least she’s participating in her civic duty in the meantime!
