There’s no place like home. Matt Roloff shared with his Instagram followers how he keeps home close to his heart when he’s not there, and it’s a very sweet sentiment. On March 21, he shared a video featuring Zach Roloff, Tori Roloff, his grandson Jackson Roloff and granddaughter Ember Roloff and wrote, “One of the many things I love about Zach and Tori’s parenting style … a close by … watchful eye … but not overprotective! Grandpa and cousin Ember were about ready to jump in … Not necessary!” The video showed Jackson standing proudly on a stump, and Matt, 57, was a little nervous about how he’d get down, but the toddler managed just fine!

It was in the comments that the Little People, Big World star actually shared his whereabouts these days and how he manages when he can’t always be close to his family, like when he’s off on trips. “… and yes. I’m still in Arizona but [every day] I scroll through my favorite photos and videos to keep my heart close to home ❤️” he wrote. Aww! It’s gotta be tough being far from the grandkids, but they clearly always get in some special moments when they are together.

Matt shared in a previous Instagram post that he went “off to Arizona for a few weeks,” but clearly, his thoughts are always with his family. It was recently his girlfriend Caryn Chandler‘s birthday, which seemed to be the reason behind the trip. We’re sure she didn’t mind the dad/grandpa looking through photos and videos during their time away.

“I love seeing the pics and videos you share,” one fan shared with the Roloff Farms owner on his sweet video post. Another fan agreed with Matt’s comment and said that they “LOVE their parenting style just by what I’ve seen on their Instagrams,” referring to Zach, 28, and Tori, 27.

One fan even pointed out, “When your kid has a huge farm for a playground, there’s no other way to parent but to let them loose and learn all that nature has to offer,” which the Little People, Big World star likely knows very well, having raised a couple of kids on a farm himself. Enjoy this big, exciting world, Jackson and Ember! Grandpa’s keeping an eye on you.
