Former ‘Teen Mom’ Star Mackenzie McKee Gushes Over ‘Adorable’ Parents On Twitter
There’s something seriously beautiful about seeing the love Mackenzie McKee has for her parents. Maybe it’s the fact that not all of the Teen Mom stars, whether past or present, have such good family relationships, or maybe it’s just that the former reality star seems like a seriously sweet person. But either way, watching how sweet the mom-of-four was with her own mom during her cancer treatments warmed our hearts. And now, she’s sending both of her parents some of that love.
On Twitter, the MTV personality shared a throwback photo of her parents when they were young, calling them the “cutest couple on this earth, hands down.” And she was serious about standing by that claim, too, ready to go to bat for her mom and dad. “Let’s argue,” she joked, adding a heart emoji in the caption of the 31-year-old pic. But things got even better with her next post where she shared a more recent photo of the couple.

In her follow up tweet, Mackenzie shared a picture of her TV screen featuring mom and dad Douthit tenderly touching heads. It’s clear from Angie’s bald head that the sweet moment took place while she was still battling cancer, and that her husband Brad was steadfastly supporting her through it all. It was that love that the former Teen Mom 3 was really inspired by, and she praised it for everyone to see. “This is them now though, and [they’re] even more adorable,” she wrote.

It’s not just Angie’s relationship that Mackenzie finds inspiring, though. It’s also how she lives her life. Earlier this month, the 24-year-old shared how her mom’s fit lifestyle has also driven her to be the same kind of mom for her kids. “My mom didn’t push fitness on us growing up but she set an example,” she wrote on Instagram. “I always promised myself I’d be a healthy and fit mom like her… Fitness has turned into my life and I hope to set that example for my kids… We have stage four lung cancer and also type 1 diabetes in this picture and it’s a daily struggle (my mom way worse than me) and we would love to not have this. Health is everything.”
