‘LHHATL’ Star Benzino Dishes Out Relationship Advice On ‘Couples Court’ (EXCLUSIVE)
He’s speaking the truth! Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Raymond “Benzino” Scott has had his fair share of relationship issues in the past, but it seems like he learned from his mistakes. Now, in an In Touch exclusive clip, Benzino will take the bench on Season 2 of Couples Court with the Cutlers on Wednesday, Nov. 11, to dish out some really good advice about cheating because he was able to speak from his own past experiences. During the episode, Benzino was called on by Dana and Keith Cutler in order to help a couple who is dealing with infidelity and cheating in their relationship. Since Benzino has a history of being unfaithful, he was able to really draw from his past experiences to help the couple work through their issues.
“You have to admit your mistakes,” Benzino, 53, said in the clip. “You have to wholeheartedly understand what you did was a mistake. It always kind of seems like the grass is gonna be greener, but in most cases, it really isn’t.”
“I’m gonna be honest, it does look suspicious,” Benzino continued. “Just by the way she’s been taking it, she loves you very much because throughout the suspiciousness, she’s pretty much stuck by you and she’s pretty much kind of like, telling the women, ‘Hey this is my man and you’re not gonna have him.’ And I even get goosebumps from that because that’s a beautiful thing — because she could take it a whole different way.”
Benzino’s last relationship with baby mama and fellow LHHATL star Althea Eaton did not end well, and cheating was a major reason for their nasty split. But now, Benzino is able to take his partner’s feelings into consideration which is what helped him realize his wrongs.
“I think as I’ve gotten older, I always use the shoe on the other foot kind of theory. Imagine if it was the shoe on the other foot, that if you picked up her phone and there was guys texting her and everything,” Benzino said. “You wouldn’t appreciate that.”
