‘Love And Hip Hop’ Star Tommie Lee Pleads Guilty, Sentenced To 2 Days In Jail For DUI
It’s finally over. Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Tommie Lee has had her fair share of run-ins with the law over the past couple of years, but at least she is able to put one ongoing case to rest. The VH1 reality TV star was sentenced to 48 hours in jail as part of a plea deal for charges stemming from her 2016 DUI arrest, according to sources.
On Monday, Sept. 17, Tommie pleaded guilty to one count of DUI and one count of driving without headlights on. In exchange for pleading guilty, Tommie will only serve two days in jail which is a bargain considering she was facing two years. In addition to the jail sentence, the 34-year-old will also have to complete 40 hours of community service and she will need to undergo an alcohol and drug evaluation treatment. She will also be on probation for 12 months.
But this isn’t the first time she’s been to jail. Tommie has been open about her criminal history and she even previously revealed that she was only 17 years old when she did her first stint in jail, and she was sent back to prison when she was 19 years old while pregnant with her first daughter, according to VH1. Since then, Tommie has had multiple run-ins with the law since then — her most recent one happened back in July when she was arrested for allegedly smacked a valet person in the head. Tommie was booked for disorderly conduct while under the influence, as In Touch previously reported.
Tommie has documented her issues with the law and with substance abuse on LHHATL — and it reached a boiling point last season. Tommie got into a big argument with her co-star Spice after she arrived three hours late to a music video shoot for their single while visibly intoxicated — and even though Tommie denied that she was an alcoholic, Spice accused Tommie of allowing her alcohol abuse get in the way of her music career.
