Lori Loughlin and Her Daughters Were ‘Best Friends’ Before College Admissions Scandal: ‘She Raised Them Well’
Before Lori Loughlin was allegedly involved in a nationwide college admissions scandal, the mom of two was actually pretty close with her daughters. Now, her relationship with her kiddos might never be the same.
“Lori and her daughters were so close, like three best friends more than a traditional mother-daughter situation,” a source told Us Weekly. “Lori always seemed perfect. She is humble, gracious and kind and her daughters are also so sweet, friendly and well-mannered. It’s clear Lori raised them well.”
Unfortunately, it seems like that relationship dynamic may change. The Full House star, 54, and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were arrested in March after they allegedly “agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters designated as recruits to the USC crew team — despite the fact that they did not participate in crew — thereby facilitating their admission to USC.” The duo was later released from jail on $1 million bond. Loughlin and Mossimo, 55, are due in federal court on Wednesday, April 3.
Loughlin’s daughters, Olivia, 19, and Isabella, 20, both were students at the University of Southern California when the news broke, but according to an insider, Olivia has been staying with her boyfriend [Jackson Guthy] in Malibu for the time being. “She’s not talking to her parents right now,” they dished.
It doesn’t seem like the YouTube star will be making an appearance on campus anytime soon, either. “Olivia Jade is not returning to USC,” an insider told In Touch. “Everyone is talking about her and she’s terrified she’ll be attacked by bullies because of the scam. Right now, she feels like her whole life is over!”
In the past, Olivia only had good things to say about her mama. “Happy birthday to the queen @loriloughlin,” she wrote on Instagram in July 2018. “I love you so much! Cheers to another year of love and laughter.”
Only time will tell if this family can move on from these recent events.
