Linda Thompson Denies Throwing Shade at Son Brody Jenner’s Ex Kaitlynn: ‘You Know I Love You’

Can she be our mother-in-law? Please? Brody Jenner’s mom, Linda Thompson, shut down any talk of social-shade toward her son’s ex Kaitlynn Carter. On Wednesday, August 14, the hot mama, 69, and the 30-year-old beauty had a meaningful exchange in the comments on Instagram.

“@kaitlynn and for the record honey, the only “shade” I throw is my own shadow walking away from drama,” Linda wrote to Kaitlynn who was seen smooching Miley Cyrus days after Brody’s rep disclosed the news of their breakup. “You know I love you. I always have & always will. 💜 💜,” Linda concluded.

The comment comes after the blonde beauty posted a meaningful quote, which she does often. “Please don’t judge people. You don’t know that it took someone to get out of bed, look and feel presentable as possible and face the day. You never truly know the daily struggles of others,” read the excerpt.

Linda went on to caption the image, “The only people we have a right to judge are our own selves … how we react & respond to life’s vicissitudes, disappointments, failures & successes.” She continued, “May we strive to do so with grace, humility, temperance, understanding, compassion, kindness, forgiveness & love. Kaitlynn and Linda appeared to be very close when getting into a deep conversation on Brody’s strained relationship with his father, Caitlyn Jenner, one an episode of the Hills: New Beginnings. “Everything in life is forgivable, and it’s not even for the other person, it’s for yourself. You have to forgive, so it doesn’t eat away inside you,” the wise mom said.

The mother to the MTV reality stud, 35, has been very active on social since the news of her son’s breakup went public and Kaitlynn and Miley’s bikini-clad vacation went viral. On August 12, fans peeped that Linda was “liking” comments that aired on the side of Brody’s defense during the scandal.
