Seal of Approval! Lady Gaga’s Dad Is a Fan of Bradley Cooper’s
Dad knows best! After Lady Gaga showed up to the Grammys without her engagement ring, fans immediately suspected that she and her fiancé, Christian Carino, were over. On Tuesday, February 19, their split was confirmed to JustJared. Now, it seems as though the blonde beauty’s father, Joe Germanotta, may be rooting for her to get together with her costar and bestie Bradley Cooper.
“Joe’s said nothing but positive things about Bradley,” a source exclusively told In Touch magazine. “Joe talks about Lady Gaga in A Star Is Born and knows how excited she is about that and acting with Bradley. You can tell Joe likes Bradley.”
Even though the New York native, 32, was with the talent agent, 49, for two years, she clearly feels a strong connection to The Hangover alum, 44. The “Born This Way” crooner managed to gush about Bradley when she took home a Grammy award for the hit song “Shallow.”
“I know he wants to be here,” she said, referring to the fact that the actor was at the BAFTA Awards in London. “Bradley, I loved singing this song with you. If I don’t get a chance to say this, I just want to say, I’m so proud to be part of a movie that addresses mental health issues. That’s so important.”
In August 2018, the duo spoke at a press conference at the Venice Film Festival, where Bradley admitted he “fell in love with [Lady Gaga’s] face and eyes.” He added, “I remember when we first met, after 10 minutes we were eating homemade food that she cooked — I love to eat — and that was actually a huge bond that we both came from East Coast Italian-American families. So, we had a real synchronicity on that level from our upbringing.”
Neither Lady Gaga nor Christian has commented on what went wrong in their relationship, but apparently fans are pretty thrilled. One wrote, “I haven’t even seen A Star Is Born and I’ve been WAITING for Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper to be a couple!!! May this be the beginning,” while another echoed, “Lady Gaga split from her fiancé because her and Bradley Cooper are in love #astarisborn.”
Except there’s only one problem: the Silver Linings Playbook star has been with his girlfriend, Irina Shayk, since 2015, and they share a 22-month-old daughter.
The chemistry between the pop star and the Hollywood A-lister is too much to handle, so we hope that something happens between them ASAP!
