It was shocking when Lady Gaga only took home one award at the 2019 Golden Globes. The “Born This Way” singer was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture Drama, but unfortunately, she lost to Glenn Close. The 32-year-old then attended the HBO afterparty, where an insider said the blonde beauty seemed very subdued after not receiving the award. She was with her songwriters — who won Best Original Song in a Motion Picture for “Shallow” from A Star Is Born — but “she seemed off,” the source exclusively told In Touch. “She really thought she was going to win.” Poor Gaga!

Earlier in the night, the two-time Golden Globes winner talked about how being an actress and a musician are not as similar as people think. “You know, it’s very different. I think I have created characters for years, so that I could be an actress,” she revealed to Ryan Seacrest on E! News. “I always wanted to be one and I didn’t make it, so I went for it as a musician but for this, it was a totally different thing. I had to go to a very specific place and I worked very closely with Bradley Cooper. He’s a tremendous visionary, tremendous actor to work with.”

She continued, “I discovered something in working on this film — it’s something called alchemy. It’s like that you essentially are creating a character but you’re really becoming the character. You know your lines, but you really just know what you’re saying when you go on set, you throw it out the window. Bradley Cooper really taught me that.”

The New York native arrived with her fiancé, Christian Carino, by her side and he even posted an amazing photo of her on Instagram. He took a candid picture of the singer in bed with Fruity Pebbles on one side of her and her Golden Globe trophy in the other hand. He captioned the snap, “What a rager,” with a heart emoji.
