The pain never goes away. Kris Jenner got emotional while discussing her friend Nicole Brown Simpson’s murder 30 years later with her friend Faye Resnick at lunch during a sneak peek clip of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which airs on Sunday, November 3.

“It is very difficult being here, I have to tell you. We had so many occasions here. I don’t know when you have been here, but the last time I was here was with you and Nicole,” Faye, 62, told the 63-year-old reality star about the restaurant they dined at called Toscana in Los Angeles. But Kris seemed to remember the exact details of the day. “And we sat right over there,” she noted. “And I can tell you what she ordered — she ordered the white fish with the spinach and the roasted potatoes, and I think she had a margarita.”

The waiter came over to tell the ladies that in honor of the restaurant’s 30th anniversary, they were handing out the exact same menus from years ago. “That just gave me chills. So, this would have been the same menu we had. It makes me sad,” Kris said while holding back tears.

During her confessional, the E! personality got candid about how she is feeling these days without Nicole by her side. “The fact that we are looking at the same menus that we all had when we were all going there, all of those years ago with Nicole, I feel like it was just meant to be that this is where we are to celebrate her life,” she explained. “I wasn’t going to cry. I think I have realized — I have latched onto the legal side of stuff rather than deal with the emotional side of myself that just misses my girlfriend.”

In 1994, O.J. Simpson’s ex-wife Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman were murdered. Kris’ late husband, Robert Kardashian Sr., represented O.J. Simpson during the trial. The mom of six was close with O.J. and Nicole and was there for their children following their mom’s untimely death. Eventually, the former athlete was acquitted of both murders in October 1995 but was deemed liable for the deaths in 1997 in a civil lawsuit. O.J. also served nine years in prison after he and a group of men broke into a hotel room and stole sports memorabilia at gunpoint in Las Vegas.

These days, the infamous trial is still brought up in the news. “I know it has got to be intense for you too because everything revolves — I mean with Robert, the girls,” Faye said. “You can’t explain this to anybody. There is a part of me that just gets so angry that I mask my emotions of sadness because I can be angry,” Kris replied.

Keeping Up With the Kardashians airs on E! Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
