Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Are ‘Stressing’ Over Taylor Swift Drama: ‘Kim Is Beside Herself’
She may have kept her cool while clapping back, but Kim Kardashian is “beside herself with worry” as her feud with Taylor Swift reignites. A source close to the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star exclusively tells In Touch that both Kim and husband Kanye West “are stressing over the leaked tapes” of the infamous “Famous” phone call.
“They’re trying to crisis manage the situation, but having to do it while in self-isolation is only adding to their anxiety,” the insider says. Kim, 39, “begged” mom Kris Jenner to come over and help her figure out just how to handle the scandal. “She needs her mom’s advice and support at a time like this.”
Meanwhile, Kanye, 42, isn’t doing his part to help control the narrative. Instead, “Kanye’s trying to keep himself busy to take his mind off things.” The insider reveals “he’s been spending time at his Calabasas studio working on new music while Kim is at home.”
Unlike his wife, the rapper has kept his silence on social media since the full phone call leaked over the March 20 weekend. After Taylor, 30, took to her Instagram Story to respond to the revelation, however, so did Kim. Both used the opportunity to raise awareness about the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
“Instead of answering those who are asking how I feel about the video footage that leaked, proving that I was telling the truth the whole time about *that call* (you know, the one that was illegally recorded, that somebody edited and manipulated in order to frame me and put me, my family and fans through hell for four years) … SWIPE UP to see what really matters,” the songstress wrote on March 23 as she shared a link to the nonprofit organization Feeding America. “If you have the ability to, please join me in donating during this crisis.”
Later that same day, Kim used Twitter and her own Instagram Story to counter Taylor’s claims. “@taylorswift13 has chosen to reignite an old exchange — that at this point in time feels very self-serving given the suffering millions of real victims are facing right now,” the KUWTK star said. “I didn’t feel the need to comment a few days ago, and I’m actually really embarrassed and mortified to be doing it right now, but because she continues to speak on it, I feel I’m left without a choice but to respond because she is actually lying.”
In addition to accusing the Reputation singer of having “manipulated the truth of [her] actual conversation” with Kanye, the mom of three insisted she “never edited the footage” and “only posted a few clips on Snapchat to make my point.” She continued, “This will be the last time I speak on this because honestly, nobody cares. Sorry to bore you all with this. I know you are all dealing with more serious and important matters.”
Fans were still divided on the topic, however. While Khloé Kardashian came out to throw her support behind her big sis, the siblings took plenty of flack on Twitter. “Just swipe up, Kimberly!” one wrote as they shared Taylor’s Story. “You really out here lying with your whole chest,” another said.
