Teen Mom’s Kailyn Lowry Posts Cryptic Quote About ‘Consistency’ After Reconnecting With Chris Lopez
Making amends? Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry shared a cryptic quote about stability shortly after reconnecting with her ex-boyfriend Chris Lopez for the birth of their son Creed.
“Actions speak louder than words, but consistency speaks louder than both. Choose people that always make you feel wanted,” read a screenshot the mother of four posted via Instagram Stories on Sunday, August 16.
She shared another cryptic message about relationships that same day. “The reality is … None of us are easy to be with … We all suffer from something … So when you meet someone who’s willing to stay … committed to understanding you and actually wants to grow with you … don’t let lame s–t like ego and pride ruin it … Real is rare … remember that,” read another screenshotted message.
Kailyn’s cryptic posts comes three days after she revealed she invited Chris, 26, to the birth of their son on the August 13 episode of her podcast “Coffee Convos,” although she previously said he wouldn’t be allowed to attend. Kail gave birth to their second child together on July 30. The exes are also parents to 3-year-old son Lux.
Although Kailyn didn’t explain her change of heart, she said she called Chris the morning she went into labor and he came over to help her pack for the hospital. While they were getting ready, Kail didn’t think she could make it to the emergency room in time, so she gave birth in her bed. Chris was by her side to welcome their son.
Kailyn also revealed Chris had some input in their baby’s unique moniker. “[With Lux,] Chris and I couldn’t decide, and so I finally just picked a name we both had agreed on in the past … and so I did the same thing this time,” she explained on her podcast. “I was like, you know what, when Chris and I were talking, this was one of the names — Creed was a name that we had both previously agreed on, and so it kind of was always in the back of my head.”
While Chris wasn’t totally sold on the name, Kail thought it was a perfect fit. “Chris was like, ‘I don’t think he’s a Creed,’” she added. “But, you know, Chris and I don’t talk every day. … He wasn’t asking me what the baby’s name was and stuff like that, so I was just like, ‘I’m gonna name him something that we had agreed on in the past.’ And I actually love the name, I love the movie. … I love the definition of it.”
Despite Kailyn and Chris’ tumultuous relationship, she thought it was best to give Creed his father’s last name, even though Lux has her surname. “My relationship — or I don’t want to call it a relationship. … My entanglement with Chris is so complicated, and it’s so public and, partially, that’s our fault because we do it to ourselves. I just, I wanna do the right thing, even when I’m upset.”
There is no telling what may happen between Kailyn and Chris, but it looks like they are working on having a healthy relationship.
