Teen Mom 2’s Kailyn Lowry Reveals Her 4 Kids Will Be Celebrating Christmas With Their Dads
All is calm, all is bright. Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry revealed her four children will be celebrating Christmas Day with their respective dads this year, but she’s not letting it dim her spirits.
The MTV star, 28, discussed her low-key plans for X-mas in the new episode of her “Coffee Convos” podcast, which aired on Thursday, November 19. “I’m just not gonna have them so they don’t have to get each other stuff,” she began.
Kailyn shares 3-month-old son Romello Creed and 3-year-old son Lux with ex Chris Lopez, 7-year-old son Lincoln with ex Javi Marroquin and 10-year-old son Isaac with ex Jo Rivera, so they would have several presents to account for on December 25.
The Pride Over Pity author said she will likely ask her children if they want to do a gift exchange and if they say yes, she would gladly “facilitate” that. “They’re gonna be with their dads, I’m pretty sure, until the end of Christmas Day, so I feel like maybe by then it would be over, but also I don’t know. It might be kind of nice to give each other something, so maybe we’ll see,” Kailyn continued.
Luckily, this won’t be too much of an adjustment for the Pothead Haircare founder, as Kailyn pointed out that she was alone for almost the entire day during Christmas in 2019.
“It is kind of sad, and I get that. I definitely get that,” she admitted. “I just feel like it’s a lot and the amount of money that I was spending on Christmas gifts and then I was only getting them for half the day and then I had to share.”
With so many people to consider, Kailyn said it would be a major hassle. “It was stressing me out to have one back by 4 o’clock, one back by 7 o’clock, and even though the custody orders say the same thing, it was almost like, OK, that’s like a default,” she explained. “We tried to agree on other things that would work and I just couldn’t make it work to the point that everyone was actually happy about it.”
Kailyn revealed she is looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving with all of her children. The party of five is planning to go on a fun-filled trip to Texas for the occasion.
It appears she is sticking to her word about trying to get along with her exes!
