Well, this is awkward. Even though Justin Bieber is married to Hailey Baldwin, his mom, Pattie Mallette, still follows his ex Selena Gomez on Instagram. Talk about drama! The 27-year-old pop star dropped a new song called “Lose You to Love Me” on Wednesday, October 23, and it seems like she is definitely talking about someone specific. Could that person be the 25-year-old Canada native, perhaps? Sure seems like it! Selena sings, “I gave my all, and they know it / You turned me down, and now it’s showing / In two months, you replaced us / Like it was easy / Made me think I deserved it / In the thick of healing, yeah.”

Of course, fans noticed that the brunette beauty was talking about the “One Less Lonely Girl” crooner. One person wrote, “The fact that Selena saw all the red flags in Justin but decided to stay and keep trying just because she loved him, and he replaced her and got engaged within two months. Wow, that hurt me. #LoseYoutoLoveMe,” while a second person wrote, “SELENA GOMEZ CALLING OUT JUSTIN BIEBER. YAS QUEEN. No one can change my mind. #SelenaGomez.” A third person chimed in, writing, “Listened to Selena Gomez’s new song, and I’m a fan! It’s sad hearing her say ‘in two months you replaced us.’ I can literally feel her pain and how hurt she was that Justin Bieber got together with Hailey so fast. #LoseYouToLoveMe.”

The Texas native and the handsome hunk first sparked romance rumors in 2009. From then on, the two broke up, then got back together. The former flames went on to date other people but started spending time together in November 2017. At the time, Patti gave her seal of approval regarding his love life. “I don’t know so much about their personal relationship because he doesn’t share a whole lot, but I love her,” she told People at the time about Selena. “I support anything [he does]. If he loves her, I love her, and I’ve met her, and we have a special bond, so I think she’s precious. I can’t really speak on their relationship, that’s between them.”

But Justin and Hailey, 22, ended up reconnecting in June 2018 when they ran into one another at a conference in Miami, which was hosted by Rich Wilkerson Jr., the pastor of Vous Church. “The common denominator, I promise you, is always church. By then we were past the drama,” Hailey told Vogue in February 2019. “I just gave him a hug. By the end of the conference, he was like, ‘We’re not going to be friends.’ I was like, ‘We’re not?’” One month later, Justin was engaged to the model.

The same day Selena released her new bop, Hailey shared that she was listening to “I’ll Kill You” by Summer Walker on her Instagram Stories. Naturally, fans thought she was sending a message to the Spring Breakers alum. Ultimately, Hailey took to Instagram to clear the air. “Please stop this nonsense. There is no ‘response.’ This is just complete BS,” Hailey commented in a now-deleted screenshot on Instagram, which was captured by Just Jared.

Selena, for her part, encouraged her followers to take the high road. “I am so grateful for the response of the song,” she said during an Instagram Live. “However, I will never stand for women tearing other women down. So, please be kind to everyone.”

Following Justin’s wedding to Hailey in South Carolina in September, it seems like the lovebirds are in a great spot. So much so, Patti couldn’t help but rave over her new daughter-in-law. “You have truly been blessed with a BEAUTIFUL bride, son. INSIDE AND OUT! I don’t think I could have picked a better match for you,” she gushed on Instagram in October. “You are a gift to each other. I am grateful and consistently humbled by the love and blessings of God over you both. My mama’s heart is full. OK. Here we go again.”

So, Selena who?
