Following his October 4 arrestRonnie Ortiz-Magro is facing two more charges, which add up to seven misdemeanors in total. Though that may seem less serious than the felony domestic violence charges he was initially booked on — not to mention the kidnapping charges — the alleged crimes are still pretty grim. On Thursday, October 24, In Touch confirmed with the L.A. City Attorney’s office that the Jersey Shore star was charged with one count of willfully inflicting corporal injury to spouse or cohabitant, one count of brandishing a weapon, a knife, one count of willful and unlawful criminal threats, one count of false imprisonment, one count of child endangerment and two counts of resisting arrest. His arraignment is set for Friday, November 1.

According to the penal codes, that means Ronnie, 33, has been accused of “drawing or exhibiting a deadly weapon or a firearm” or “using a deadly weapon in a fight” during his dispute with ex Jen Harley. He’s also alleged to have “assaulted the child by means of force that to a reasonable person would be likely to produce great bodily injury.” The star’s lawyer seemed to dispute the seriousness of the claims, however.

“The facts and circumstances around Ronnie’s arrest have been misreported and exaggerated, like we mentioned in the past,” attorney Scott E. Leemon said in a statement obtained by In Touch. “We are happy the District Attorney’s refused to file any charges and we look forward to addressing this matter with City Attorney; until then, we will make no further comment.” In early October, Leemon told In Touch, “The reporting of the alleged incident relating to Ronnie Magro this morning is based upon pure speculation and innuendo. … We are currently conducting our own investigation and will have no further comment until that has been concluded.”

It’s unclear yet whether the charges will affect Ronnie’s ability to spend time with his daughter, Ariana Sky, the child involved in the alleged altercation. Previously, a protective order a judge issued against the star, barring him from coming within 100 yards of his ex, had been lifted. Just one day later, he was seen bonding with Ariana at a Disney theme park. A week later, the daddy-daughter duo also visited a pumpkin patch together.

Despite the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star’s arrest, his MTV costars seemed to doubt how serious the incident was with his ex. On her podcast, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and guest Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino accused Jen of purposefully “showing off” bruises in the wake of the arrest. “I feel like she went out intentionally to get a photo of her,” Snooki said. “You don’t have to be wearing a tank top, showing your bruises and the bruise on your leg. … Cover those up so it’s not a thing. She wants it to be a thing.”
