Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Released From Jail After Being Arrested and Charged With Kidnapping

Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has been released from Van Nuys Jail in Los Angeles after he was arrested for felony domestic violence and charged with kidnapping. Prior to his release, LAPD confirmed to In Touch his bail was set at $100,000.

“He’s posted bail, but he hasn’t walked out the door yet,” Van Nuys police told Radar Online. The reality star and his girlfriend, Jen Harley, share a 17-month-old daughter, Ariana Sky.

The 33-year-old was taken into custody on Friday, October 4, following a dispute with girlfriend Jen Harley that turned “physical.” The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has not filed any official criminal charges against Ronnie, but prosecutors have not yet received information from the LAPD concerning the early Friday morning incident.

“He hasn’t officially been booked but I can tell you that officers responded to a battery in progress in the 7200 block of Woodrow Wilson Drive at around 2:40 a.m.,” police previously told In Touch. “Suspect and victim were involved in some kind of physical altercation. When officers on location, the suspect was uncooperative. Officers had to use a taser so there was minor use of force that occurred.” They added that the child on the premises was “not harmed.”

Hours before the arrest, Ronnie and Jen were spotted kissing and holding hands at the launch of Verge CBD in Los Angeles. And, prior to that, she celebrated National Boyfriend Day with new jewelry. “For National Boyfriend Day, I got some new bling #nationalboyfriendday,” she captioned the video shared on Thursday, October 3.  The couple shares a 17-month-old daughter, Ariana Sky.

The tumultuous couple has been on-and-off for years. Most recently, however, it seemed like the two were finally in a good spot. Ronnie’s costar Angelina Pivarnick told In Touch exclusively in July that they were “in a really good place.”

As far as an engagement, however, the reality starlet said she wasn’t sure. “Me and him [sic] haven’t really spoken about it. I know right now he’s excited and happy that they’re doing so well, and he’s really just living for his daughter and his daughter, oh my God, she’s so cute,” Angelina shared. “I love that little baby. I think they’re in a really good place, and I’m really happy for them.”
