Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro‘s protective order against his baby mama, Jen Harley, was lifted on Friday, October 11, just days after an allegedly violent physical altercation between the couple at their Airbnb rental in Los Angeles.

According to Us Weekly, the 33-year-old was issued the emergency protective order after he was arrested for reportedly hitting Jen during the incident, which allegedly took place on October 4. The order required him to stay 100 yards away from the 31-year-old until his court hearing on October 11.

An insider who spoke with the publication said the order was lifted after his ex-girlfriend didn’t appear in court for the scheduled hearing.

Just hours before the altercation, Jen and Ronnie were spotted packing on the PDA at the launch of Verge CBD in Los Angeles, so the incident came as a bit of a shock to fans and followers everywhere.

“I can tell you that officers responded to a battery in progress in the 7200 block of Woodrow Wilson Drive at around 2:40 a.m. Suspect and victim were involved in some kind of physical altercation,” LAPD told In Touch at the time of the arrest. “When officers on location, the suspect was uncooperative. Officers had to use a taser so there was minor use of force that occurred.” They also confirmed that the child on the premises — the couple’s 18-month-old daughter, Ariana Sky — was “not harmed.”

After being arrested during the response to the domestic battery call, LAPD confirmed to In Touch that the reality star was booked for kidnapping. He was released from jail the same day after posting the required $100,000 bail. Shortly after, Ronnie’s lawyer released a statement from him on October 5.

“The reporting of the alleged incident relating to Ronnie Magro this morning is based upon pure speculation and innuendo,” Scott E. Leemon said in a statement obtained by In Touch. “We are currently conducting our own investigation and will have no further comment until that has been concluded.”

Plus, Ronnie’s pals aren’t too pleased with the way Jen is handling the situation — after she was spotted with bruises on her leg shortly after the fight. “I feel like she went out intentionally to get a photo of her,” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi said during her podcast, “It’s Happening With Snooki & Joey” on Thursday, October 10. “You don’t have to be wearing a tank top, showing your bruises and the bruise on your leg. She’s wearing booty shorts to show it off.”

Recently emancipated Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino also weighed in during the episode. “Yes, listen, this whole situation is really bizarre. It really is,” the 37-year-old said. “There are a lot of opinions. There is a long list of bizarre crazy things that have happened. I don’t know. At this particular point, I am just going to say, I am going to pray for him, Jen, the baby, his future.”
