Ember Roloff Doesn’t Have Dwarfism, Despite Jeremy’s Family History
Does Ember Roloff have dwarfism? Even though Jeremy Roloff and his wife Audrey Roloff's daughter Ember is already seven months old, fans will get to have an inside look into the days leading up to their baby girl's arrival on the upcoming season of TLC's hit reality TV series Little People, Big World. But since Jeremy's brother Zach Roloff's son Jackson was born with achondroplasia — which is a type of dwarfism that runs in the Roloff family — fans were wondering if there was a chance that Ember would also be born with dwarfism. Check out the video below to learn more about baby Ember!
Since Ember’s highly anticipated arrival (she came several days late), Auj has been candid with her fans about how becoming a mother has been incredible, but it hasn’t been easy. After Ember’s birth, Audrey struggled with breastfeeding, mastitis, and postpartum depression.
"I won’t sugar coat it…These past two weeks have been HARD. The first 24 hours with Ember were bliss, but after that it was as if I went back into labor again," she explained on Instagram. "I was well prepared for the pain and suffering that comes with childbirth, but I was not prepared for the pain and suffering that comes afterwards. I got all the things…The common 'TMI' postpartum hurts, along with severe engorgement, too much milk, not enough milk, blisters, bruises, clogged ducts, and mastitis. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but the pain I’ve experienced while breastfeeding has been comparable to unmedicated labor contractions. Inevitably, all of this has left me feeling like I am failing my baby, frustrated, discouraged, and heart ached. But even though the tearful sleepless nights persist, so will I. I will continue to pour myself out in sacrificial love for this baby girl who makes every hurt worth enduring."
