Not all exes have bad blood — just take a look at Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence!

The Favourite star, 29, and The Hunger Games alum, 28, respectively met on the set of X-Men: First Class in 2010 and dated on and off for a couple of years. Despite their breakup, they continue to work alongside each other on the series — including their newest movie, Dark Phoenix, which hits theaters this June.

“It’s pretty similar to Skins,” he told ES magazine while chatting about the atmosphere on set. “We’re a big family. We’ve been doing these movies since we were 20 years old. As much as the Skins crowd grew up together, the X-Men crowd really grew up together.”

And while fans may wish for the former couple to one day get back together, it seems as if that is just not going to happen.

Nicholas Hoult attends the 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 06, 2019 in Beverly Hills, California.

The private actor just recently welcomed a baby with his girlfriend, Bryana Holly, and is loving life as a dad. “The levels of tiredness are extreme. No one warns you about it! He confessed to ES magazine. But the level of love that comes with it outweighs everything. It’s phenomenal. I’m loving it.”

As for J. Law? She’s doing just fine — she may even be Nicholas’ No. 1 fan. On September 28, The Silver Linings Playbook alum attended the New York Film Festival Premiere of The Favorite with her current boyfriend, Cooke Maroney. Let’s be real: How many people would take their current lover to an ex’s movie premiere?

Funnily enough, Nicholas is not the only ex Jennifer has supported. About one year ago, she told Marc Maron on his “WTF” podcast that she pretty much stays friends with her exes — and even has her own theory on why that is.

“I think it’s because I’m blunt,” she said. “I don’t think that you can have any sort of bad relationship with anybody if you’re just blunt. Everybody always knows how you feel at all times and there’s no lying. It’s just honesty. All of my boyfriends have been wonderful.”

If J. Law can do it, we all can!
