These allegations are terrifying. According to a new report, Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans was investigated by Child Protective Services after giving birth to daughter Ensley back in January when the infant allegedly tested positive for drugs at birth.

According to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, the news of the investigation was revealed after Nathan Griffith’s mother filed for emergency custody of Jenelle’s youngest son, Kaiser. It was in the court docs that Doris, Nathan’s mom, allegedly said that Ensley had tested positive.

“Upon the birth of Ensley, the newborn tested positive for marijuana,” Doris allegedly said in the docs obtained by the outlet. “DSS [The Department of Social Services] became involved due to Ensley testing positive for marijuana and opened an investigation. Upon information and belief, both Plaintiff and David had positive drug screens for marijuana.”

Sources told the outlet that the baby tested positive for THC, which is found in marijuana. “Jenelle worked really, really hard to keep this off the show,” the source said. “But everyone knew: the cast and a lot of the crew all knew, and it was a hot piece of gossip for a while. But the producers kept it off the show because they knew Jenelle would go crazy.”

Though the tests reportedly came back positive, according to The Ashley, Ensley was not taken away at birth, but CPS did launch an investigation into the reality star. For many months following the birth, CPS representatives allegedly made random and frequent visits to assure that Jenelle and her fiancé David Eason were following the strict rules in place.

According to the report, the reality star was able to get out of charges. “Basically, Jenelle flew to Los Angeles to obtain a medical marijuana card,” a source said.  “She went to this shady doctor on Sunset Blvd. who has been in trouble in the past. I think he’s actually a plastic surgeon. It was a walk-in clinic type place. She has a lot of friends in LA that can help her with this sort of thing.”

Apparently, the proof of a “medical need” for marijuana was enough to get CPS off her case, and the investigation was eventually dropped. “She managed to find the one loophole that could get her out of trouble,” the source said.

Jenelle’s co-stars are reportedly furious over the fact that she was able to go through this major scandal without it being a plot point on the show. “Some of the girls, and a lot of the crew were so angry that Jenelle has once again skated through,” a source revealed.  “A lot of the people were hoping that this would make it onto the show somehow, to expose Jenelle. She keeps trying to spin this ‘happy family’ picture and it’s just not the case. She has not changed.”

Jenelle has since responded to Doris’ emergency filing, claiming that her own mother, Barbara, was the motivation behind it. “Our lawyers are talking today. Doris made accusations but I can tell you that Barbara has a lot to do with them… Doris threw her own son under the bus by admitting that he has pending felonies and possibly on drugs. Her emergency filing was against me and Nathan both,” the mother-of-three told E! News. “I can tell you that they are allegations, driven by my mom, and she didn’t get her emergency custody. That speaks for itself.”
