Jorge Nava Reveals How He Asked Anfisa To Marry Him: “There Was Never Really A Proposal”

We’ve seen a lot of Anfisa Arkhipchenko and Jorge Nava‘s love story unfold on 90 Day Fiancé, but there have never been photos of a romantic proposal or anything like that. As a matter of fact, many fans don’t really know how Jorge and Anfisa got engaged. Well, on Aug. 31 they revealed that’s because he never actually proposed! 

“I feel like it’s never been… like we talked about it all the time, but…” Anfisa struggled to explain the situation. Jorge cut in, admitting that he never actually, you know, popped the question — despite the fact that they’ve been married for two years now!

“I told her that I want to marry her, but there was never, like, a proposal,” he said.  It may sound backwards, but Jorge does hope to do a proper proposal in the future. “Like I want to do it, I’m just broke as hell but, like, one day I want it to be something special, like maybe if this YouTube gets 10 million subscribers and what not and all of this money comes in.”

Other fans were curious about why Anfisa doesn’t wear an engagement ring. That’s because she doesn’t have one. “No, no, but for real, like this is the reason why,” he said, opening his empty wallet for the camera. “Like I don’t have anything in there, like seriously. But that’s the reason why. Like I just feel like I’ve been broke, all of this s–t happened with me, like everytime I’m going to make some money, some crap happens.” 

Clearly Anfisa wasn’t impressed, teasing “Excuses, excuses!” We do hope these two get the special moment they deserve in the future, because they’ve been through a lot together. Perhaps we’ll even get lucky and they’ll put it on their YouTube channel!
