Well, if that isn’t rock n’ roll, we don’t know what is! In the last issue of Rolling Stone magazine, Harry Styles disclosed that his creative process involves doing a lot of drugs, which once resulted in a scary oral injury.

“This is where I was standing when we were doing mushrooms and I bit off the tip of my tongue,” Harry, 25, said to the outlet while in Shangri-La studios in Malibu. “So I was trying to sing with all this blood gushing out of my mouth. So many fond memories, this place.”

Harry added that psychedelics have become instrumental to his work in the studio. “We’d do mushrooms, lie down on the grass, and listen to Paul McCartney’s Ram in the sunshine,” he said. “We’d just turn the speakers into the yard.” The chocolate edibles were kept in the studio fridge, right next to the blender. “You’d hear the blender going, and think, ‘So we’re all having frozen margaritas at 10 a.m. this morning.’”

We have seen Harry grow from a young member of a boyband to a full-fledged rockstar. Along with his maturity comes a lot of experimentation. Although Harry is trying on an edgy approach to music, he is still the lovable member of One Direction that we grew up with.

Just recently, the rocker reached out to L.A. Chargers player Tre Johnson via DMs to invite his daughter (a huge fan) to come along on his next tour. “Hello Sir,” the message read. “Please let me know if you ever need anything for your little lady. Next time we’re on the road, it’d be a pleasure to have you anytime. Hope you and your family are really well. H.” Wow, what a sweetheart! Clearly, Harry still has a soft spot despite his hard rocker ways.
