Most reality shows are notorious for being less than reality, but it's not often that the participants in these shows actually admit to the fakery!
From the streets of LA on The Hills to beaches of the Jersey Shore — and even in Kris Jenner's own backyard — several TV personalities have been caught faking it for the cameras.

Kristin Cavallari: The Hills
"I faked relationships, faked fights…I don't care anymore — I can tell you. At this point, it's been so many years," she said on Bethenny Frankel's self-titled talk show back in 2013. "It was fun, 'cause you're acting. And that was more fun for me."

Audrina Patridge: The Hills
In case you had any doubt about the authenticity of The Hills, Audrina Patridge said in an interview with Giuliana Rancic and Ali Fedotowsky, "In the beginning, a lot of it was real. As it went on, it was very manipulated."
She even claimed producers wouldn't let her leave a shoot until she and Kristin Cavallari got into a fight!
The brunette stunner recalled them saying, "'You can't leave until you and Kristin get into a fight.' So I'm like, 'Oh my God, Kristin!' Kristin's like, 'Let's do it.' I'm like, 'OK, c'mon.'"

Joseline Hernandez: Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta
The Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta star was not messing around when she was under oath saying that her show was fake!
In a videotaped deposition, Joseline said, "With reality TV, it's called 'reality' but it's a lot of acting."
When asked if she was portraying a character or if who we saw on Love and Hip Hop was really her, she said, "The reality TV show showcases a lot of who we are not…they'll showcase certain things, but that's not who Joseline Hernandez is."

Snooki: Snooki and JWoww
Snooki confirmed that her pregnancy before the filming of her show Snooki and JWoww caught the producers completely off-guard. How could they make a show about two notorious party girls with one of them being pregnant?
Snooki wrote in her book, "You should have seen [the MTV producers’] faces when I told them I was pregnant! They were like, ‘Get me re-write, ASAP!’ I felt for them. It would be hard to make the show fun…I had to give the producers credit for rolling with the punches.”

Maddie Ziegler: Dance Moms
Maddie (aka Abby Lee Miller's obvious favorite on Dance Moms) told USA Today that most of the mama drama in the dance studio is all for show.
She said, "The producers set it up to make us all yell at each other. You know how I said that moms do fight? The moms have a fake fight sometimes. Afterward they just start talking and laugh about it."
Well, we hope so 'cause those moms can get nasty!

Russell Jay: Keeping Up With the Kardashians
Kim Kardashian's short-lived marriage to Kris Humphries was all captured on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and Kris was not pleased with how he was depicted. Russell Jay, a producer on the show, admitted in a deposition that multiple scenes were “scripted, reshot or edited” to make Kris seem like the villain when the marriage was on the rocks.
Jay also said that Kim was well aware of Kris' "surprise" proposal and even made them reshoot it because “she didn’t like how her face looked in the first take."

Phil Robertson: Duck Dynasty
Phil Robertson not only said that his show Duck Dynasty was fake, but he also blamed the editors "with no moral compass" for twisting the reality of the show.
He said in an interview with The Christian Post the editors "inserted fake beeps like somebody had used profanity, but no one had used profanity."

Vicki Gunvalson: The Real Housewives of Orange County
Vicki Gunvalson's leaked text messages showed that the Real Housewives might not be so "real" after all. In an episode, Vicki's daughter Brianna supposedly surprised her mother with news that she had secretly gotten married.
However, in a text message exchange dated Nov. 2, 2011, Vicki's ex Brooks Ayers asks "What are y'all filming today?" to which she replied, "Her telling me she's engaged/married."
Rookie mistake!

Chris Bukowski: The Bachelorette
Chris Bukowski, a season 8 Bachelorette contestant, returned to the house on season 10 uninvited to have a shot with Andi Dorfman.
The surprise appearance was intended to look like some grand romantic gesture as he showed up to the house with a bouquet of red roses.
But Chris admitted that it was all a set up by the producers (even the roses)!
Well, that makes it slightly less creepy…
