Did Evelyn and David from ’90 Day Fiancé’ Lie About When They First Met? Fans Feel “Frauded”
The fans of 90 Day Fiancé have some seriously impressive detective skills! They may have found proof that controversial couple David Vázquez Zermeño, 27, and his 18-year-old fianceé Evelyn Cormier, actually met long before the TLC cameras were rolling — and maybe even before she was of legal age!
The evidence in question is an Instagram post that David put up in 2016 that shows the city of Boston, MA. Fans were under the impression that the 90 Day Fiancé couple hadn't met before he moved to New Hampshire in 2017 while on the show, so now they're pretty pissed. "In an interesting turn of events, we have been further frauded. David and Evelyn have been chatting for years … he took this pic in Boston in 2016?" wrote Reddit super sleuth Evuhdens.
After watching the show, a lot of people felt bad for David because Evelyn is so immature and unwilling to make sacrifces for her relationship. Fans thought that David didn't realize this until he got to America, but this photo might prove that he spent time with her before and therefore shouldn't have been surprised. "Wait, wait, wait, seriously, if he's been seeing her all this time and has actually met up with her previously then I'm screaming fraudin' and gross. I mean he didn't see beforehand then that she's clearly not mature enough for a marriage? What the heck is up with him? Yeah absolutely zero sympathy about her being so vile to him. He knew this waaaay beforehand then. Good luck with your teenager, David." Another agreed, saying "he knows what he’s getting. He didn’t pick her. He picked the US."
While fans feel like they've been lied to, it seems that the couple never explicitly said that David's move to America was the first time they'd met. However, their comments as he got off the plane at Logan Airport made it sound that way. "It feels amazing to be finally here in person with Evelyn," said David after he arrived. "It's amazing to be together, it's surreal," said Evelyn. "We haven't even been together for ten minutes." Dave also made it sound like he's never been here before, saying "I am very excited to experience life in America. I've heard it's very different," but if he went to Boston in 2016 then he would have already experienced it.
Fans were already mad after finding old comments on their social media pages showing that David was flirting with Evelyn online when she was as young as 15 years old, and this just adds more fuel to the fire!
