Time for a big screen? Jill Duggar shared a perplexing throwback video of her family enjoying a movie night on Sept. 7, but the strangest thing about it: there’s no TV in sight. Several of her siblings were over, watching different flicks on laptops in separate rooms.

“We’ve got a hockey movie going on in here, and then, behind me, we have dinner. We’re going to have s’mores. We’ve got Where the Red Fern Grows going on in here for the younger kids. Fun times,” Jill said. Derick Dillard‘s eyes were glued to the tiny computer screen as he watched the film and from the looks of it, the couple doesn’t own a television!

Interestingly, the Duggars have been followed around by cameras since 2008, but Jim Bob and Michelle decided to ban television in their household prior to having children, so it might have stuck around for Jill’s family. “I grew up watching TV, but when we got married a doctor friend of ours encouraged us not to have a pet or a TV the first year of marriage. So we did that. For the first year we lived on love,” the patriarch told Huffington Post in 2011. A friend later gave them a TV, and yet, they decided to stick to their initial plan…and just watch DVDs.

“Communications dropped off, we weren’t talking as much, and we couldn’t believe the content on TV we didn’t think was appropriate. This is detrimental to our marriage,” Jim Bob further explained at the time. “We prayed about it and felt we had to pull it out of our house, which we did. And I would say that is one of the best things we have done for our family.” Jill’s dad also noted how they’re selective in what they watch, and she’s apparently following suit!
