He’s a man on a mission. After watching Travis Scott’s new Netflix documentary, Look Mom I Can Fly, several fans have been expressing how much the rapper deserved a Grammy for his latest album Astroworld. The chart-topping artist looked visibly discouraged when finding out that he didn’t win one during an emotional scene of the special, but rest assured — even though he hasn’t snagged a Grammy (yet) he has taken home plenty of other awards over the years.

In 2019, Kylie Jenner’s beau, Travis, 28, was among the winners of an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Soundtrack/Compilation, thanks to his contribution on the album for Black Panther. The father of one also won the BET Award for Best Collaboration this June for his song “SICKO MODE” and the accolades didn’t stop there.

Travis won the Billboard Music Award for Top Streaming Song (Audio) in 2019 for the same single. The rapper — who is also the proud father of Stormi — has proven to be a force to reckon with in the music industry, having even secured the Teen Choice Award for Choice Electronic/Dance Song back in 2017 for his feature on Major Lazer’s song “Know No Better.”

The year prior, Travis won the BET Hip Hop Award for People’s Champ due to his catchy song “Antidote.” Aside from his wins, the lyricist has also been nominated for several prizes over the years. He was nominated for a Grammy in 2018 and 2019 (which is no small feat), and up for a prize at the 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards and the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards. Travis was even previously nominated for another NAACP for his feature on SZA’s single “Love Galore” back in 2018.

On his new documentary, Travis reveals how much it means to him to take home a Grammy, and several fans are confident this will happen at one point in his career. “We thought we were at least in that convo [for Album of the Year],” he said, before expressing his excitement. “It’s still crazy, though. We made it on the board. This is bigger than anything we ever done in life.”
