Excuse Us?!Fans Think They Overheard Chrissy Metz Calling Alison Brie ‘Such A B–ch’ On The Globes Red Carpet
Let’s not rush to conclusions, guys! Fans were beyond shocked on Jan. 6 after they seemingly heard Chrissy Metz throw some serious shade at Alison Brie on the Golden Globes red carpet when the cameras cut from one actress to the other. So, did Chrissy really call Alison “such a b–ch?!”
It all started when AJ Gibson and Missi Pyle were wrapping up their carpet interview with the This Is Us star. AJ lightheartedly asked if she “knew a girl named Alison Brie” and she scoffed and said, “do I!” When AJ said Alison was on the other side of the carpet, Chrissy just said “oh,” and the camera switched over to Alison’s interview. However, Chrissy’s mic stayed on a few more moments, and she could be heard saying, “I’m like ‘do I?’ She’s such a bi…” before the audio cut off. Check it out:

It didn’t take long for fans to jump to the conclusion that she was calling her a “b–ch.” Chrissy quickly took to Twitter to set the record straight about the sitch. “I adore Alison and would never say a bad word about her, or anyone! I sure hope she knows my heart,” she tweeted. In a later statement, her rep told In Touch, “Chrissy has nothing but admiration and respect for Alison and, frankly, every fellow actor who must wade through this much-too-common attempt to create a feud among colleagues.”
Still, the reactions on Twitter were swift. “This Is OOPS!” said one shocked fan. Another said, “Oh, this is juicy! I wonder why she called her that!” A third couldn’t stop laughing, tweeting, “I want Chrissy to win and spend her entire speech describing Alison Brie’s death scene in Scream 4.”
Chrissy still hasn’t revealed what she actually did say in the awkward clip, but we imagine the “bi…” that fans heard was something more positive, like, “she’s such a big inspiration to me,” or “such a beauty.” We’re just happy that Chrissy is staying super positive in light of such a tense situation. It’s all love here!
