Derick Dillard Slams Claims That His Wife Jill Duggar Doesn’t Have a Higher Education
He’s not having it! Derick Dillard shut down claims that his wife, Jill Duggar, doesn’t have a “higher education” in the comment section of his new Instagram post. The former Counting On star shared a pic of himself spending quality time with his son, Israel, and one fan randomly asked if Jill went to college. When another chimed in to throw shade, Derick rushed to Jill’s defense.
Derick, 30, was respectful to the initial inquiry, responding “yes” with a smiley face, before revealing that Jill, 28, took “Systematic Theology, Old Testament, New Testament,” and more courses. Shortly after, the second commenter shared their two cents, writing, “That is not higher education that’s bible class lol ‘sHe pRoBaBlY hAs mOrE cOlLeGe CrEdItS tHaN yOu.'”
The TLC alum fired back, “so if someone has a degree in theology they have no higher education?!” Several of his followers were getting in a heated debate afterwards, some telling Derick to ignore the trolls, while others argued about Jill’s schooling, mentioning how she was a midwife. As you may recall, the mother-of-two became a certified professional back in 2015.
Meanwhile, Derick also responded to another shady comment about Israel in the comment section of his post showing their family’s 4th of July celebrations. “Your oldest son looks gay,” a troll wrote for no apparent reason. “And what does a gay person look like??” the father-of-two clapped back.
Clearly, Derick isn’t going to let anyone mess with his loved ones. The reality star recently celebrated reaching a new relationship milestone with Jill and it’s obvious they are still going strong. “Can’t believe it’s already been 5 years of blissful marriage with this beautiful woman,” he captioned the PDA photo of them kissing in front of a waterfall. “I love you more everyday.”
