Demi Lovato Briefly Checked Herself Back Into a Treatment Facility

Success with sobriety. For Demi Lovato, recovery is not a sprint, but a marathon. In Touch has learned that the 26-year-old singer had checked herself back into a treatment facility, four months after she completed a 90-day program in a rehabilitation center. Don’t worry, apparently the singer is proving her strength and it was actually Demi herself who made the smart choice to check back into treatment.

A source told Us Weekly that “It was Demi’s decision and she checked out after about two weeks. She is in a better head space and recognizes the seriousness of her addiction.” A second insider second added that “she at no point relapsed since last summer’s overdose.”

On July 24, 2018, the “Tell Me You Love Me” singer was hospitalized after a near-fatal overdose in her Hollywood Hills home. Following a two-week hospital stay, she entered a treatment facility. On August 5, 2018 the star broke her silence on social media, thanking her friends and family for the love and support. “I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet,” she wrote.

In January 2018, Demi celebrated the milestone of being six months sober. Always being open with her fans about her constant battle, she took to Instagram to share the delicious treat that her team had rewarded her with for her dedication to recovery. “Best day ever,” the Grammy nominee captioned the shot of her dessert from Susiecakes.

While her journey to sobriety is going quite well, her love life is not. Multiple outlets have reported that the former Disney star split from her fashion designer boyfriend Henri Levy, who she was first spotted with on a sushi date in Los Angeles after she left rehab in November. In December, the pop star and the 27-year-old were caught looking head over heels for each other in Malibu. Most recently, on January 14, Henri took to Instagram to post a cute picture from their romantic European getaway in Paris. Henri captioned the photo with hearts, which confirmed their romance.

Regardless, their fling was short-lived! According to Radar Online, “Demi’s mother and family were absolutely 100% responsible for getting him out of the picture,” Due to Demi’s past additions, she just can’t be tempted to go down a bad path again. “No one knows what is up with Henri, but her friends were told by Demi’s mom to keep him away from her at all costs,” said the source continued.
