He’s not happy. Carmelo Anthony was spotted on a yacht with a mystery woman in photos that emerged on June 26, and after allegations arose that he might be cheating on La La Anthony, the basketball player set the record straight. In a video message, Carmelo, 35, said, “So I’m going to address this one time and one time only. And I’m really only addressing it for my family. Keep my family out of this, man. I’m over here trying to do my business retreat. I’m over here trying to have a good time. I’m on a boat with some friends … them people are married, man, they don’t got nothing to do with anything.”

He continued, “Y’all exposing somebody’s wife, y’all exposing somebody’s kids … come on. Leave that alone, man. That ain’t cool. Now I gotta deal with that with my son, I gotta deal with that with my wife. That ain’t cool, man.” He also said the people he was with are “discreet” and that they’re doing “their own thing,” likely meaning that they aren’t in the limelight like Carmelo is.

Carmelo and La La’s marriage has struggled in recent years. They’ve been married since July 2010 but split in April 2017. However, they were seen together on many occasions in the fall of 2018, and sources told Us Weekly they were giving their relationship another chance. “La La and Carmelo have recently reconciled and they truly still love one another,” a source close to La La, 36, said at the time. “It’s so obvious when they’re together.”

The insider also said the duo’s 12-year-old son, Kiyan, was a big reason the couple decided to give their relationship another shot. “They also both want what’s best for their son and are committed to being a family,” the source revealed.

However, La La did admit in early May that marriage can be tough. “You know, marriage is hard,” she told Us Weekly at the taping of VH1 Dear Mama: A Love Letter to Mom on May 2. “I tell everybody that, and it’s one day at a time, and that’s what we’re doing. Just trying to take it one day at a time.” Honestly? Cheating allegations probably don’t make that process any easier.
