She doesn’t approve! Caitlyn Jenner’s mom, Esther Jenner, said she will not be watching her daughter on her new reality show I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! in a new exclusive interview with In Touch.

“We have a Survivor [show] here in the United States, I never watched it, I’ve skimmed over it, or seen previews and I decided that I don’t really care for that,” Esther, 93, said, explaining that the daring competition show isn’t her cup of tea. “That’s not entertainment to me, to see somebody frightened,” she said, adding, “I think she could spend a lot more pleasant times on the golf course!”

Aside from the dangerous competition, Esther isn’t fond of Caitlyn’s new venture due to the distance. “I’ve tried not to think of Caitlyn being over there [in Australia]. It’s three weeks… a long time to go without hearing from her,” Esther explained. “When she’s in the States she calls me almost every day, so I’ve got to live without hearing her.”

Esther acknowledged the show will be very difficult on Caitlyn, 70, and hopes she is up for the challenge. “It’s like a competition, I guess, and there are not very many people that get through it. I don’t want to be thinking about that at 1 o’clock in the morning, I cannot sleep,” Esther said, referencing the time difference between the United States and Australia.

“I have no idea [why she’s doing this]. I don’t ask her questions to get into her mind or how she feels about this or that,” she added. “My big worry is [she may] get bitten by a snake or a poisonous insect. I’m afraid of snakes anyway, even if they’re not poisonous.”

Caitlyn is aware her mom doesn’t approve but is going forward anyway. “She had to tell me she was going on this show, and I said, ‘I never liked the show here in the United States and I didn’t watch it’.”

So far, it looks like Caitlyn is enjoying herself while filming the series and was recently spotted sporting a tiny black bikini while on location. The Kardashians’ former nanny Pam Behan shared some insight as to why her old employer would go out of her comfort zone like this. “I would say this is a move to gain the Kardashian girls’ and ex Kris Jenner’s respect,” she told In Touch exclusively. “The whole time I knew Bruce, it seemed like none of them respected him that much.” We are all rooting for you, Caitlyn!
