After Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani ran into the singer’s ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale, at their son Kingston’s football game on Sunday, February 16, a source exclusively tells In Touch it “wasn’t a planned get-together.” The former flames “attended their son’s game, and Blake tagged along with Gwen. It’s that simple,” the insider notes.

While Gwen, 50, Gavin, 53, and Blake, 43, didn’t appear to interact in photos, the source explains the three of them “aren’t going to be hanging out on double dates, but they will get together for their kids’ events.”

The “Hollaback Girl” songstress and the country star sat in the bleachers with her other kids, Zuma, 11, and Apollo, 5, while Gavin watched from a closer viewpoint. The musical artists — who started dating in 2015 after they met on The Voice — seemed to be in good spirits as they cheered on 13-year-old Kingston. Blake was even spotted holding Zuma’s hands on a stroll and sat in his lap while watching the sporting event.

For his part, the Bush frontman kept to himself as he looked at his cell phone. Gavin also came to the event without his girlfriend, Natalie Golba.

Even though Gwen and Gavin are no longer together — the blonde babe filed for divorce in 2015 after 14 years of marriage — the U.K. native previously explained there was no bad blood between them, and they always put their children first. “You know, we both manage to feed them and get them to school on time, more or less!” he told Us Weekly in May 2019. “They are doing really good. They’re really happy, and that’s it. We’re doing the best we can.”

An added bonus is that the dad of three gave his stamp of approval when it comes to Blake. “I just always want her to be happy,” Gavin exclusively told In Touch in May.

Despite things not working out between Gwen and Gavin, he has nothing but love for her. “We had 20 years together, and that in itself is pretty incredible,” he told The Sun’s Fabulous magazine in 2017. “It’s a lifetime. I still think she’s incredible. It was a lovely 20 years, and we have three amazing children. There were a lot of positives, and with time, they’ll become more and more obvious. The unconditional love she shows me is so powerful. It’s one of the greatest gifts, and I’m grateful for her every day.”

Meanwhile, the California native and the “God’s Country” crooner are still going strong. At the Warner Music’s pre-Grammys party on January 23, Blake “kept smiling and couldn’t keep his hands off of her,” an insider exclusively told In Touch at the time. “Blake looked so proud to be with her. They were just in their own little world holding hands and so excited to get inside the party.”

Who says three is a crowd? Clearly, Gwen and Gavin are not stressed when it comes to coparenting.
