Gone Too Soon: A Look Back at Beth Chapman’s Incredible Life and Career

Leaving behind a legacy. Beth Chapman led an incredible life before her untimely death at the age of 51 due to throat cancer. The reality star and mother of fours shared a beautiful blended family with her husband, Duane Chapman, and the couple even costarred on a few hit shows together, including Dog The Bounty Hunter as well as Dog’s Most Wanted

Beth and Duane formed an undeniable bond that warmed hearts all over the world, having been together for 16 years before tying the knot in 2006. Their marriage stayed strong until her death in 2019.

To remember the incredible woman she was, the brood gathered on the first anniversary of her passing on June 26, 2020. Her daughter Cecily Chapman took to Instagram Stories with a photo of Beth to pay homage alongside a sentimental message. “First photo, I’m already feeling all kinds of different emotions,” she shared. “On my way up one of her favorite mountains. I miss you mom.”

Cecily hosted the event and Duane shared more details about the paddle out ceremony they did in her honor at Waimanalo Beach, Hawaii.

“Prayer will take place on the beach and in the water. Bring your board and flowers so we can remember Mrs. Dog the right way. Not in Hawaii? Go on a walk, hike and take a picture. Let’s make it viral,” the TV personality shared.

In May, he mourned the loss of his longtime love on what would have been their 14th wedding anniversary. “She said, ‘Big Daddy, you’re going to be so sad when I am not here on our next anniversary.’ Why did she have to be so right??” he captioned a throwback photo of them together in happier times.

It’s been a very trying process to move forward, but Duane did find love with his girlfriend-turned-fiancé, Francie Frane, who also lost her spouse to cancer just a few months before he did. The couple said they will never “replace” their past partners. Instead, they are helping each other through it.

In honor of Beth, we’re taking a look back at her milestone moments in life.
