Dream team. Lyssa Chapman showed love to her father, Duane “Dog Chapman, and late stepmother, Beth Chapman, in a thoughtful post shared via Instagram on Tuesday, October 15. Lyssa celebrated their incredible bond and included a throwback photo of them posing together with her daughter, Madalynn, when she was just a baby.

“Missing our superheroes 😢 #babymady #MyDadCanBeatUpYourDad #dogthebountyhunter,” Lyssa, 32, captioned the snap. Several fans were feeling nostalgia, including one who referenced a scene on Dog The Bounty Hunter that warmed their heart.

“One of the most memorable things I recall from DTBH was Mady’s birth. That episode was full of strength and love. It was palpable,” the comment read. “We miss her also,” another sweetly wrote.

“I miss her and I never met her. Just watching her on TV she felt like family. She touched millions of lives,” a third responded. Just a few months ago, Duane, 66, confirmed that Beth tragically lost her battle with cancer on June 26, breaking hearts all around the world.

Nowadays, he is still learning to cope with his new reality. During an exclusive interview with In Touch in August, he opened up about his struggles.

“Never did I think it’d be this bad,” the WGN America alum admitted about losing Beth, while noting how there was a silver lining. “All the kids are getting along very good,” he told In Touch. “[Beth] said, ‘I hope that if I die, it brings the family back.'”

Unfortunately, it was revealed that Duane was dealing with his own health woes in September. While appearing on an episode of The Dr. Oz show, the reality star announced that he had been diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism. Duane was told he is a “ticking time bomb” by Dr. Oz, who also expressed how serious it is for him to focus on his well-being at this time.

“You’re not going to be here with the heart the way it is right now,” Dr. Oz said. “Fear of death is normal.”

After the emotional episode aired, Duane’s daughter, Lyssa, took to Instagram to show gratitude. “Very grateful for [Dr. Oz] coming to help my dad,” she wrote.

Luckily, it looks like Duane is doing much better these days as Lyssa last revealed that he’s “on the mend.”
