Beth Chapman Shares Pic of Husband Duane Sleeping: ‘You Can Still See the Worry and Stress on His Face’
They’ve been through so much together. Beth Chapman shared a photo of her husband, Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman, to her Instagram on May 27, and the caption she posted with it is a little bittersweet. “HE SLEEPS!” she began the update. “When he finally does sleep you can still see the worry and stress on his face. He has been by my side nonstop since this happened strong and encouraging me every day!”
By “since this happened,” Beth, 51, likely means the return of her cancer, which she is still battling. She continued, “There is no doubt we’re my strength comes from. Being with him is the most important thing to me. Ours is one of the greatest love [stories] never told. ❤️ It’s a love worth fighting [for]! [Thank you] for loving me sooo much @duanedogchapman #Nevergiveup #nevergivein #wgnamerica.”
In September 2017, the couple revealed that Beth had been diagnosed with stage 2 throat cancer. Her doctors gave her a 50/50 shot at beating it, and she was cleared a few months later. However, in November 2018, the Dog’s Most Wanted star discovered that her cancer was back after having emergency throat surgery. The following month, she began chemotherapy to fight it.
Thankfully, as tough as Beth’s battle with cancer has been, her husband has been right by her side for all of it. He told In Touch exclusively in December 2018, “I am going to be right there with her. First thing when she woke up from the [latest] surgery, she said, ‘Where’s the Dog?’ and the nurse was confused, she said, ‘Did she bring her dog with her?’ and I said, ‘Yes, ma’am.’ I’m here every moment I can be for her.”
Beth and Dog’s fans in the comments certainly appreciated the devotion Beth’s husband has shown her through it all. “Blessed are those that have not only found that constant but, have allowed others to witness it ❤️,” one person wrote. Another noted, “He definitely is your rock and your togetherness is meant to be ❤️.” Our hearts are definitely with this duo during this difficult time.
