Audrey Roloff Reveals She’s Been Able to Successfully Breastfeed Daughter Ember for Five Weeks
Being a new mom is never easy! Audrey Roloff has been open about her transition into motherhood, and it hasn’t come without a few speedbumps along the way. After having difficulty breastfeeding, however, the Little People, Big World star is now revealing that she’s been able to successfully feed her daughter, Ember — whom she shares with hubby, Jeremy Roloff — for five weeks! Watch the video below for more exciting details.
Back in September, the new mama revealed that she suffered from mastitis, a common illness that affects women who choose to breastfeed their babies. She said in an Instagram post at the time, “I was well prepared for the pain and suffering that comes with childbirth, but I was not prepared for the pain and suffering that comes afterwards. I got all the things… the common ‘TMI’ postpartum hurts, along with severe engorgement, too much milk, not enough milk, blisters, bruises, clogged ducts, and mastitis.” She added, “I can’t believe I’m saying this, but the pain that I’ve experienced while breastfeeding has been comparable to unmedicated labor contractions.”
Recently, the 26-year-old was mommy-shamed for a photo she posted of Ember under a bed of baby wipes. “OK what the heck. Put the wipes packages on the bed or something, not on a beautiful sleeping baby girl…” one person wrote on Facebook. Another added, “They should not be on a baby like that, come on. They’re not light in weight.” Hang in there, girl!
