Ashley Jones’ Mom Pastor Tea Insists They’ve Both Quit ‘Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant’
"The story will not continue without Ashley," but the show will have to! Ashley Jones' mother Tasheilia Chapple AKA Pastor Tea took to Facebook Live on June 27 to reveal that she and her daughter were ditching Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant for good. Watch the video above to see the shocking announcement!
Pastor Tea, who is the founder of Tasheilia Chapple Ministries, located in Davis, California, went on to say that they haven't been filming for the series, and that Ash finally called up producers and told them she wasn't interested in continuing with the show.
Fans are more than a little skeptical, however. Many think that if the Teen Mom franchise still wanted her, she would gladly stay, and that quitting was out of fear of being fired. Others were just sad to see her go. One even begged on Instagram "Please don't quit the show!"

The move isn't exactly surprising after all of the drama Ashley has been through lately. After dealing with domestic abuse claims, getting engaged to her baby daddy Bariki, and then seemingly breaking up, the pressure of dealing with fans has lead to several social media outbursts.
Ash was also hurt by how she was portrayed on TV. "The whole season I was edited to look like a monster. Joining this show was by far the worst decision of my life," she wrote. "All those hours of filming and all the positivity I spread and y’all didn’t show any of it. No trust for the producers or anyone else that works on the show and knows the kind of person that I am but says nothing to editing." Only time will tell if Ashley can be persuaded to return, but as one of the most interesting moms from the new series, we sure hope she changes her mind.
