Honey Boo Boo and Mama June confirm Anna’s diagnosis via Instagram shortly after news broke on March 30.

“This is been a very emotional road for the family but we are sticking together me n justin n Josh are doing everything we can do and to b there for Anna Marie Cardwell and Eldridge Toney and the girls through this journey just pray for all of us especially her girls we appreciate y’all so much [sic],” Mama June wrote via Facebook.

The Toddlers & Tiaras alum opened up to In Touch about her daughter’s diagnosis.

“Like I tell everybody, that whenever the time does come or when she gets very sick, they have to live with that at the end of the day, not me,” June said of her family’s absence from Anna’s chemo treatments.

Anna opened up about her battle as she approached her third round of chemotherapy.

“Well going on to round 3 of chemo. Yesterday was [a] pretty good day but did get a little [sick] and Cracker Barrel was good going down but not up,” she shared on May 10. “Over all it’s going good and chemo is working we come to find so things are looking good [sic].”

Mama June shared a heartbreaking update about her daughter’s battle, telling Entertainment Tonight that the cancer is “terminal.”

“For me, it’s an emotional rollercoaster sometimes. Mentally it’s always on my mind,” she said. “She’s stage 4. She’s not gonna go into remission. We’ve all accepted that, so I just tell people one day at a time ’cause you never know.”

“Sometimes I sit here and just cry cause life was never supposed to be like this,” Anna shared via social media, adding, “How I been these past couple days.”

Her mom took to the comments, writing, “Trust me me too No life his NEVER been this difficult for any of us but u know me and Justin. R here if you need to vent anytime.”

Lauryn revealed the family was going on one final family vacation amid Anna’s terminal diagnosis.

“We are going on a ‘last family trip’ with my sister Anna on Thursday,” Pumpkin told fans in a post shared on the Facebook page for her and Alana‘s online boutique on November 28. “So we will be live Tuesday and Wednesday night. All packages from the live sale will go out Thursday morning before I’m out of town.”

The family was excited to spend some time together as Lauryn added that her sister’s health had been declining. “Sadly, it’s gotten worse over the last couple of months, and her wish is to go to Gatlinburg with all of us,” she explained in the comments section of the post. “So we are making that happen & making the best out of this.”

Mama June and Lauryn took to Facebook to ask their followers to pray for their daughter and sister as her condition worsened.

“We are asking as a family that y’all continue to give us prayers during this time, and as this process goes along, we will let y’all know updates as soon as we can,” June posted on December 8.

“Everyone just pray for us right now,” Lauryn wrote via Facebook on the same day.

Anna sadly died on December 9, 2023. Mama June confirmed the news in an Instagram post the following day.

“With the breaking heart, we are announcing that @annamarie35 is no longer with us,” she wrote. “She passed away in my home last night peacefully at 11:12 PM. She gave one hell of a fight for 10 months she passed away with her family around her like she won’t and we will will be updating y’all with more information as we get it today. We love y’all and continued prayers and thoughts for our family doing this difficult time #mamajune #prayers #cancersucks #family.”
