New Footage Seemingly Proves Amber Portwood and Andrew Glennon Hooked up While Filming ‘Marriage Boot Camp’
Did they or didn't they? Amber Portwood and Andrew Glennon have always claimed their relationship started after cameras stopped rolling on Marriage Boot Camp: Family Edition, but new secret footage seemingly proves the couple was hooking up on set. In an upcoming special, "Secrets Revealed," Andrew can be seen sneaking into Amber's canopy bed — even though she was with ex-fiancé Matt Baier at the time.
"We never had a crew member impregnate a boot camper before," a producer says while black-and-white footage of Andrew entering Amber's room is shown — along with a censored bar over her bed. "Oh my god," Amber can be heard whispering in the never-before-seen clip. Previously, Amber reassured Teen Mom OG fans that nothing happened between the pair until after her split.
"He didn’t really know who I was and we didn’t talk on the show because, you know, he would get in trouble, and I would have gotten in trouble, but I didn’t even know that he even liked me!" Amber told Us Weekly. "It just simply was he had a little crush on me." The couple has since welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named James, on May 8. Amber is also mom to nine-year-old daughter Leah.
Marriage Boot Camp host Dr. Ish recently opened up about Amber and Andrew's relationship and revealed he was not happy about Amber's decision to move on so quickly. "The issue with [Amber's new relationship] is the impulsivity of it," he told In Touch exclusively. "You are in a program designed to get you some closure and move forward in your life, in wherever direction that takes you — but while you're in the program, the guy you came with doesn't work out, so you end up with another guy, and you ended up get pregnant — it's a mess."
Her ex and first baby daddy, Gary Shirley, also felt she should have taken more time to heal. "I think she should’ve stayed single longer and really gotten to know herself and get over someone before getting with someone else — because that’s how you do it, man," he said last summer. "The correct way. You don’t need someone to make you feel like you’re living."
