‘Alaskan Bush People’ Stars Rain and Gabe Are “Trying to Be Happy” Amid Rumored Family Feud (REPORT)
Trouble on the frontier? The stars of Alaskan Bush People made the big move to Washington — reportedly to start filming a new season — but Rainy and Gabe Brown apparently aren't too happy about it.
According to Radar Online, the brother-sister duo was spotted shopping at a Walmart in Airway Heights, WA on Monday night, and although they "were playing together similar to the way they do in the show, laughing and talking," an eyewitness said they also appeared upset.
"They seemed like they were trying to be happy," the onlooker continued. "It looked like something might have been bothering them."
The family moved to The Evergreen State after spending nearly a year in their Beverly Hills mansion so matriarch Ami could receive cancer treatments. As previously reported, the 54-year-old was diagnosed with lung cancer last year. In a recent interview with People, the reality TV star opened up what it was like to receive the results of her latest scans, just days before Christmas. "I was expecting great news," the mother of seven said, despite having just a three percent chance of survival. "I could just feel it."
And she was right. Her cancer — which spread throughout her chest and back — has been in remission for a few months. "The doctors were as shocked as we were," she said.
Apart from moving, Rain and Gabe's downtrodden appearances could have also been caused by the rift formed between Noah Brown, Joshua aka "Bam Bam" Brown, and the rest of the family. In October, the Facebook page Alaskan Bush People Exposed revealed the two fled California. Bam was spotted in Colorado while Noah was seen in Montana with his girlfriend, Rhain. Photos taken by fans of the show were obtained by the non-fan Facebook page, and people lashed out at the brothers.
"Go be with your mom… losers," one person commented. Another added, "So, for a family who claims to be as close as they are, I find it ridiculous that anyone is away from their mom right now. Seriously. They may be frauds, but it's still their mother." Of course, she's referring to numerous reports that the show is scripted. Some even think Ami's illness is made up. A third chimed in, "Makes you wonder with all of Ami's [kids] all over the place, is she really ill?"
Yikes. Here's to hoping Rain and Gabe were just sad they couldn't agree on which snack to choose!
