‘Alaskan Bush People’ Star Rain Brown Gushes Over Dog Jakson: ‘You Have Taught Me Patience’

Looks like the saying holds true for Alaskan Bush People star Rain Brown: dog really is woman’s best friend. On Monday, August 26, she celebrated national dog day by writing a love letter to her pup Jakson Maine. In the emotional post, she revealed how much he’s meant to her life — and how he’s changed it. The post is super sweet, and so is the star’s pup.

“Happy dog appreciation day to my absolute favorite little dude,” Rain, 16, wrote on Instagram. “Jakson, you have taught me love, patience and, most of all, acceptance,” she continued. “You make my heart so full of joy. And you never fail to make me smile. I love you with every tiny corner of my heart, and I always will.”

“Coming home after a long day and knowing I get to come home to you is so beautiful. Even when I am away, thinking of your wild, playful, loving spirit always brings a smile to my face,” she finished the post. “I love and adore you now, and forever will. Mommy loves you very much @jaksonmaine.”

This isn’t the first time that the teen has shared a similar sentiment. Back in May, she revealed that her fluffy black dog has also inspired more self-confidence in her. “Thank you for loving me when I forget to love myself,” she told him on the social media site. When she got the pup in April, she revealed, “I’ve only had him for two days, and this little dude has stolen my heart from top to bottom. I’m so lucky to be your mother, Jakson. I love you with every fiber of my being.”

We’re glad to see that Jakson brings so much joy to Rain’s life, enabling her to help inspire others. Though the star hasn’t kept up with her #MotivationalWednesday series she endeavored to start a few months back, she has done her best to remind fans to “give life a little sparkle.” And we could all use a little extra happiness in our days.
