’90 Day Fiancé’ Star Karine Staehle Sends Sweet Birthday Message to Paul After Welcoming First Child Together
This marks his first as a new dad! 90 Day Fiancé star Karine Staehle shared a sweet birthday message dedicated to her husband, Paul, to celebrate him turning 36 on April 2. It’s been a very exciting time for the couple who just welcomed their first child together, a son named Pierre.
The TLC alum shared a throwback photo of the two enjoying an outing at the aquarium in Rio de Janeiro. In the snap, Karine is still sporting her baby bump and she captioned it, “Happy birthday. I love you,” while tagging Paul. He looked like one proud papa-to-be while cradling her belly.
Paul’s wife Karine, 23, gave birth to their bundle of joy in Manaus, Brazil, on March 22. Pierre was 6.9 pounds and 19.7 inches. “I’m very happy, very excited,” Paul told UsWeekly while announcing the big news. “I’m also very nervous and want to do everything the best that I can and do everything right. Everyone keeps asking how it feels to be a dad. Anyone can make a baby, but going through the day-to-day process of being a father is going to be a new experience.”
The reality star dad later revealed that Pierre was born with jaundice. This meant his son would further medical attention and would need to stay in the hospital for a bit longer. Luckily, it looks like Pierre is doing a lot better these days. “Blood results are now normal,” he posted in an update via Instagram Stories on March 27. He also said Pierre’s skin “no longer looked yellow.”
Paul took to social media with some more good news on March 28, confirming that “Pierre and Karine are both home safe.” He added, “Karine is recovering well.” The reality star also showed off the new crib they got after saving up donations from their “online baby shower.” It looks like 36 is off to a good start!
