We were rooting for Fernanda Flores and Jonathan Rivera‘s love to go the distance on 90 Day Fiancé, but it sadly was not meant to be. After finally confirming the rumors in mid-January, both stars have started to explain what exactly went down. After a social media hiatus, Fernanda, 19, is also confessing why she needed to take a break from it all. Fernanda’s been having a rough go of it lately.

After Jonathan confirmed that he and his wife had separated, she disappeared for a minute there.

It didn’t help that Jonathan was speaking out plenty.

“I gave it everything I had,” he told In Touch, also sharing that he had his family by his side and that he was open to finding love again.

After a month’s hiatus, she returned to Instagram.

She shared a message of positivity, but it was clear she was still struggling.

Now, though, she’s got something to celebrate.

The TLC star hit 300,000 followers, and she decided to break out the cake and balloons in honor of the social media milestone.

She also took a moment to thank her fans and explain why she’d taken a break from the site.

“300k followers unbelievable! A month ago I left social media 100% to focus [on] my mental and physical health. I was going through something that I never [thought] will happen to me being so young. Even not posting anything, I get a lot of followers,” she shared.

She opened up about how she’d needed some time to herself.

“I was wondering Why? I realize that is probably because some of you feel identified with myself in some ways, that makes me happy to feel a connection with you. Life is tough sometimes.”

She even seemed to comment on her breakup.

“I understand that those experiences are the ones that make us grow, learn and move on.”

But ultimately, she was just grateful for everyone’s love.

“I just want to say thank you all of you, for your lovely messages, you support and patience. I’m working on get myself back, because you guys deserve to know the best version of me.”
