She’s hoping for a fresh start. Danielle Jbali opened up about her trust and abandonment issues following her painful divorce from Mohamed Jbali, while appearing on Face the Truth via Skype. The 90 Day Fiancé star revealed how she’s coping with her new single status.

“I don’t want Mohamed back, but I have issues with abandonment and trust, so I’m having a hard time on whether to heal some more or try to find someone new,” Danielle said. The TLC star dreamed of a life together with her ex, despite their 15-year age gap, but now she suspects he used her for a green card. When asked if she’s still carrying Mohamed’s last name, the 45-year-old revealed: “I made the decision to keep it, based on the time it takes to change the document and the cost.”

In the clip, Danielle says she and Mohamed only consummated their marriage once. During Season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, fans watched as Danielle and Mohamed’s relationship fell apart. Danielle caught Mohamed chatting online with multiple women, and as soon as he got his green card, he got his stuff and moved with one of them to Miami, so Danielle flew from Ohio to Florida to confront him. Mohamed later revealed that he was not deported back to Tunisia after Danielle was attempting to annul their marriage. The couple ultimately parted ways and finalized their divorce in 2017.

Fans previously called out Danielle for using his last name on social media instead of her maiden name, Mullins, and she fired back. “A lot of women keep their married name because it costs money to change documents such as drivers license, passport, and then you have time to go change it at other places such as social security, banks, the title for car and house, and so many more places,” she wrote in March. “I have better things to do with my time such as spending time with family, work, school, and studying.”
