Mischa Barton is in quite the pickle when it comes to her acting career.
A new report claims that the 29-year-old ditched a role in the flick Promoted and was hit with a lawsuit for “breach of two contracts to provide services for the film."

“Mischa was paid $20,000 in advance to shoot the entire film. She was supposed to be the star," screenwriter and producer Daniel Lief told Radar Online. “Just prior to the first day of shooting, we got an email from her rep saying that she had decided to not take part.”
The film's mastermind adds, “She took our money, didn’t show up and then refused to give us the money back."
This isn't the first time Mischa's been in serious trouble. Just last month, In Touch reported that The O.C. star was struggling to give up her partying ways.
“We were at a party together about a month ago and Mischa was doing mushrooms, cocaine and smoking pot," a source alleged. “She’s partying really hard. She definitely could be in a bad spiral right now."

Daniel also appeared to address her situation.
“This film could really have changed a lot for Mischa and gotten her career back on the right track. She’s gotten herself into a sticky situation both legally and in her personal life, and she missed out on the opportunity of actually being in a really funny movie," he told the outlet.
