How Dark: Lana Del Rey Wishes She Was "Dead Already," Hates Fame

Lana Del Rey shot to music superstardom almost overnight back in 2012, with the release of her debut album Born to Die, but it seems the haunting chanteuse has no desire to be famous and, in a recent interview, went so far as to say she wishes she were dead.
That is a pretty morbid statement, Lana.
Speaking with The Guardian, the 28-year-old singer says out of nowhere: "I wish I was dead already."
When pressed by the interviewer to admit that she did not really mean that, Lana repeatedly says she did indeed wish she were dead, adding: "I don't want to have to keep doing this. But I am."
The "this" in question is music, a career Lana claims to draw no enjoyment from, at least not the fame side, despite selling over 7 million albums worldwide.
Lana also spends part of the interview talking about her idols, including Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse, saying that she finds their tragic deaths at the age of 27 to be glamorous.
It's all just a bit too much.
Lana is out promoting her latest album Polydor, which will be released later this month, so it is hard to know if she is truly in a bad place or just trying to get some attention. Either way, this is some very dark stuff.
