The newest member of the Kardashian family is finally here! Kim Kardashian confirmed she and rapper husband, Kanye West, welcomed
their new baby girl via surrogate on Jan. 15! So who is the lady that helped make baby No. 3 possible for Kimye?

Many fans are still convinced it’s Kylie Jenner.

Rumors (though completely unfounded) started swirling on Jan. 12 that Kylie had gone into labor with her own baby. After a few hours of mayhem, it was reported to be a false alarm. However, Kim and Kanye welcomed their baby girl just three days later on Jan. 15. Many fans think that Kylie was actually in labor, though she was having Kimye’s baby, not her own. Of course, this is just a fan theory, and it’s probably not the case.

It’s someone Kim “completely trusts.”

Kim quickly learned that it was harder than she thought to let someone else carry her baby, even though she felt “a bond” with the woman. “I think it is so much harder to go through it this way, because you are not really in control,” she told ET. “And, you know, obviously you pick someone that you completely trust and that you have a good bond and relationship with, but it is still… knowing that I was able to carry my first two babies and not, you know, my baby now, it’s hard for me. So, it’s definitely a harder experience than I anticipated just in the control area.”

But they probably aren’t from her family.

Despite Kim’s closeness with the surrogate, it’s unlikely that it was Kylie, or anyone else in her family for that matter, because the syrrogate wasn’t invited to the baby shower. During a Thursday, Nov. 16, appearance on The Real, Kim explained why her surrogate was not welcome at the cherry blossom-themed event.

“I introduced her to my family earlier that day, and I just thought…I don’t know, it was a weird decision to have to make,” she said. “Of course I would have wanted her to be there, and be a part of it, but I hadn’t really gone that far in explaining it to my kids yet.”

“So I have to figure that out first before they really see, and then if we’re celebrating, you know, her…I just wanted to celebrate the baby. I think I have to explain it to my kids first, and figure out how I’m going to explain it to them,” she continued, adding, “I love her. I have the best relationship with my surrogate. She’s so nice. She’s the perfect person to do this for my family.”

Kim, 37, has tried to keep any information about baby No. 3 and her surrogate private, but she finally made the announcement in a trailer for the current season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians in November — check it out below!

Back in May, Kris Jenner offered to be the surrogate for her daughter, who suffers from a potentially life-threatening condition called placenta accreta, which forced the reality star to find an alternative to becoming pregnant again herself. Despite the kind gesture, the couple declined the 61-year-old momager’s offer.

She’s a California girl.

Us Weekly reports that the woman that carried the newest West daughter lives in San Diego, just a few hours south of Kim and Kanye’s home in Los Angeles.

She’s a mom-of-two — just like Kim (until now)!

According to TMZ, the woman that the couple chose to carry their child is African-American and already has two small boys with her husband of five years.

She’s been a surrogate before.

The woman — who is in her late 20s and was referred to Kim and Kanye by an agency — has served as a surrogate before. She has reportedly even appeared in a promotional video about the process with her own family.

She most likely didn’t vote for Donald Trump in last year’s presidential election.

TMZ also reports that the surrogate is a college grad, is in great physical shape, and — fun fact! — she’s a registered Democrat.

Kim and Kanye, who are already parents to North, 4, and Saint, 19 months, reportedly agreed to fork over $45,000 in ten $4,500 monthly installments, and if there are multiples, the megastars will give the surrogate $5,000 per child, TMZ previously reported. The long list of requests from the strict parents includes: refraining from smoking, drinking, and drugs during the pregnancy as well as foregoing the use of a hot tubs or saunas. The surrogate also agreed to stay away from changing cat litter, applying hair dye, drinking more than one caffeinated beverage per day, and eating raw fish.
